We are located at the foothills of the Los Ladrones Mountains, just south of Albuquerque, in the wooded "bosque" forest of the Rio Grande. This private game preserve of 200-plus acres borders the La Joya State Wildlife Refuge, and features a combination of hunting opportunities for pheasant, geese, wild turkeys, doves, chukars, ducks, and quail.
This is a rich blend of natural cover - fields and cottonwoods near the romantic Rio Grande. Our birds are both wild and recently released. Birds that are as exciting as any to be found.
At Rancho de La Joya, our guests are welcome to bring along their own hunting dogs. But if you do not have a dog available, Rancho de La Joya supplies highly experienced dogs and handlers to help make your day a success. Advanced notice is required.
